Consultation is provided by trained professionals through home visits,
telephone and office visits. Family Consultants assess problems and needs,
explore care options and provide information to caregivers and family
members.
Support
Groups
Monthly Meetings in a supportive atmosphere to share experiences and ideas
to ease the stress of caregiving.
Family
and Professional Training
Workshops are provided on a variety of topics for caregivers, family
members and professionals. Topics may include: stress management, legal
and financial issues, diagnosis, treatment and long term care planning.
Short
Term Counseling
Short term counseling through private licensed counselors for caregivers
and family members who need assistance with problem identification and
solution exploration.
Legal
and Financial Consultation
Personal consultation with an attorney on estate and financial planning,
conservatorship and other related matters.
Respite
Care
Subsidies for in-home care, day care, short term or weekend care and
transportation to assist families in caring for a brain-impaired adult at
home.
