Home and Heart Program

Home & Heart is a Home Sharing program that connects older adults who have an extra room and need assistance to successfully age in place (Home Providers), with community members seeking affordable housing (Home Seekers).

Home Providers benefit from receiving extra income or helpful services such as meal preparation, transportation, and companionship.

Home Seekers benefit from securing affordable housing and developing a broader sense of community.  Home & Heart works to create a safe housing program by screening applicants, processing background checks, conducting home visits, and offering conflict resolution based mediation. Home & Heart creates an individualized living arrangement that captures the unique need of every match, and offers on-going support to promote successful cohabitation.
